I’m off for a break in New York soon.  I’ve been there briefly a couple of times but never long enough to really get to know the city.  I’m looking for suggestions on food and drink experiences whilst I’m out there.

I’ve got some eateries in mind including the oyster bar under Grand Central Station (which looks very funky) and my favourite steakhouse, as well as gorging on pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, bagels, and the occasional cheesecake, burgers, large deli sandwiches, my first twinkie, and trying to find some NYC microbreweries.

Further suggestions would be much appreciated!
